December 2023 President's Corner

President's Corner

The end of the year is just about here and the holiday season has quickly come upon us. This is my final month serving as your President of PMICAC and I can report that it has been a productive year for our chapter thanks to dedicated volunteers that serve our board of directors, various specialized directors, advisors, liaisons, and other volunteers. To close out the President’s Corner for this year I would invite you to serve as a volunteer to make an impact in our profession, community, to learn from fellow project managers in addition to sharing your experiences with others. Apply here!

Some of our most significant accomplishments for this year include:

  1. Continuation of Low cost/No cost events for Membership
  2. Membership Growth by over 10%, currently 711 members
  3. Enhanced communication and activity on our social media platforms
  4. Ramped up activities virtual and in-person to celebrate accomplishments of our membership and contribution of volunteers
  5. Continuation of our President’s Receptions (with C-Suite Leaders as our Speakers) offering free attendance to some local college students
  6. Introduction of Hybrid (Virtual and In-Person) Meeting Options for most Monthly Chapter Meetings
  7. Start-up of PMICAC Scholarship Awards and Veterans Social Events
  8. Website Enhancements Managed by our Dedicated Team
  9. Expansion of PMICAC Volunteer Team – Including Directors and Advisors
  10. Many others…

Next year you can also play a role in helping the chapter achieve such accomplishments.

Kimberly Bennett, a long serving member, volunteer, and chapter leader will be serving as your President for 2024. Please join me next year and consider offering your skills, experiences, and abilities to support planned initiatives by serving as a chapter volunteer.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone! Have a safe and enjoyable break with family and friends.  I hope you enjoy the last set of articles I found helpful.

Much thanks and gratitude,

Eric McKendall
